Breakfast At the Mount Dora Historic Inn
As I have been a gourmet chef for more than 20 years, and
because I truly have a passion for food and culture, breakfast at our inn is an event. Breakfast is served on fine
china with antique flatware and glasses, and lovingly prepared in our kitchen each morning.
Our guests' first course is one of my many chilled soups
that takes full advantage of seasonal fruit (I know soup for breakfast? Its insane!). The next two courses vary
each day and range from soufflés, Stuffed French Toast, Crêpes , Stuffed Omelette with Buer Blanc
Sauce, Sweet Potato Pancakes (one of 18 varieties) fruit clafouti (French Fruit Pancake) , and fresh, homemade
(from scratch) breads or muffins; and, much, much more.
Of course, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee (Jim's special
blend), tea, and filtered water are included with breakfast. Also, I am very flexible to meet any special dietary
needs; or, preferences.
Below are some of the dishes we serve:
Three-Cheese Savory Soufflé and
Blueberry Stuffed French Toast

Bananas Foster and Fresh Pina Colada Bread.

These are two of my favorite soups; of course,
served chilled.
On the left we have a Vanilla Bean Citrus Soup
made with fresh orange and grapefruit sections
and a light citrus broth infused with a vanilla
bean.
On the right, we have a polynesian soup made
with a variety of berries,
bananas, pineapple, and topped with diced Fuji
apples.

and butter below.

We can also work around any food allergies
you might have.

guest.
